I’m glad you’re here. I’m Pat McNamara, an independent math and science tutor in Portland, Oregon. I use a teaching approach that combines observation, intuition, compassion, skills, and experience.
A colleague once called me a ‘professional demystifier’ and it stuck. I have a natural rapport with students and an ability to walk them through tricky topics, obtuse formulas, and vague theoretical concepts in a way that helps them sidestep intimidation and anxiety, master new study skills, and develop a deeper understanding of math and the hard sciences.
